In a shock-absorbing member (10) in which a wood member (12) is embedded in a resin covering member (20) so as to be integrated therewith and in which the wood member (12) is collapsed when subjected to an impact load (F), thereby absorbing a portion of the impact load (F), sealing members (18) are disposed between both end surfaces of the wood member (12) in an axis direction of annual rings (12k) and an inner surface of the covering member (20), so as to hermetically cover both end surfaces of the wood member (12).
