A detection device (101) acquires image information obtained by imaging a subject in a moving body (M). Furthermore, the detection device (101) acquires illuminance information indicating an illuminance in the moving body (M). The detection device (101) generates first feature information regarding a time-series change in a pupil diameter of the subject in the moving body (M) on the basis of the acquired image information. The detection device (101) generates second feature information regarding a time-series change in the illuminance in the moving body (M) on the basis of the acquired illuminance information. The detection device (101) generates reaction information regarding a reflection speed of the pupil of the subject with respect to light emitted to the subject in the moving body (M) on the basis of the generated first feature information and second feature information. The detection device (101) detects a fatigue state of the subject on the basis of the generated reaction information.
