The method comprises:wirelessly broadcasting (104) an emergency signal containing emergency-related information, triggered by the reception (102) of an alert by the autonomous vehicle,establishing (106) a wireless network among autonomous vehicles receiving the emergency signal;exchanging (108) on-board sensor data and intent of each autonomous vehicle on the network;collaboratively computing (110) intent instructions for each of the autonomous vehicle on the network to avoid or mitigate the anomalous traffic condition;distributing (112) the intent instructions among the autonomous vehicles on the network;executing (114), by each autonomous vehicle on the network, the corresponding intent instructions.The method provides secure and efficient organization of autonomous vehicles traffic, particularly in emergency situations, which is locally managed without requiring communication with a remote server.
