The present invention provides a grid fin 101 comprising a lattice of a multiplicity of aerodynamic surfaces 102 arranged such that air can flow through the lattice and over the aerodynamic surfaces, each aerodynamic surface having a leading edge 104, wherein a plurality of the leading edges have a planform shape defined by a hyperbolic curve 214. The invention also provides a vehicle or projectile provided with a number of grid fins and methods of designing, modelling and manufacturing grid fins.
