According to one embodiment, a flight restriction setup system (1) includes a damage detection unit (3) and a flight restriction calculation unit (4). The damage detection unit (3) detects a damage which arose in a structure composing an aircraft. The flight restriction calculation unit (4) sets at least one flight restriction of the aircraft according to a degree of the damage detected by the damage detection unit (3). Further, according to one embodiment, a flight restriction setup method includes: detecting a damage, which arose in a structure composing an aircraft, by a damage detection unit (3); and setting a flight restriction of the aircraft according to a degree of the damage detected by the damage detection unit (3).
