A welded portion 41b between the upper member 42 and the lower member 43 is on a compression portion B side with respect to a stress neutral point P at a boundary between a compression portion B at which compression stress is caused and a tension portion A at which tensile stress is caused when a load acts downwardly on a tip end side of the boom member 41, and a reinforcement member 44 is arranged on an inner surface side of the welded portion 41b.
