A heat exchange system (100) for an aircraft includes an aircraft controller (106) for controlling an operation of an aircraft, a thermoelectric device (104) having a low temperature side and a high temperature side, an inlet line (110) that carries fluid through the low temperature side of the thermoelectric device (104) and to the aircraft controller (106); and an outlet line (112) that carries the fluid away from the and aircraft controller (106) through the high temperature side of the thermoelectric device (104). Heat is transferred away from the inlet line (110) to the outlet line (112) through the thermoelectric device (104) when a predetermined condition is met.
