The invention discloses a water body environment monitoring device, which comprises a floating body with buoyancy and used for floating on a water body; the water body monitoring device is mounted on the floating body and is used for monitoring a water body environment; the rack penetrates through the floating body and is used for being arranged in the cave water body; the first gear is meshed with the rack and rotationally connected with the floating body; the limiting device is mounted on the floating body, is in contact with the rack and is used for limiting the rack, so that the first gear is engaged with the rack; the first driving device is mounted on the floating body, is in driving connection with the first gear and is used for driving the first gear to rotate so as to drive the floating body to move in the length extension direction of the rack. In a cave water body without satellite signals and with a complex path, the floating body drives the water body monitoring device to move according to a correct path so as to monitor the environment of the water body in the cave.
