An air-cooled range extender comprises a hanging plate, a fairing, cooling fans and an engine module, the fairing is arranged below the hanging plate and provided with a cooling air duct, the cooling fans blowing air oppositely are arranged at the upper end and the lower end of the fairing, and the engine in the fairing is forcibly cooled by blowing air oppositely. The fairing and the cooling fan are combined to blow air in the opposite direction to play a role in air collection and guide, so that airflow flows to the engine module in a more concentrated mode and then is dissipated and flows out of the hot air duct, the cooling effect is obviously improved, and the power can be improved by about 30%. The fixing plate is connected with the hanging plate through the buffer rubber, and the engine and generator module is fixedly installed below the fixing plate. The cooling fan and the fairing are relatively separated from the engine, vibration generated when the engine works can be weakened by the buffer rubber and then transmitted to the hanging plate, the cooling fan is prevented from vibrating along with the engine, the service life of the fan of the cooling system is prolonged, and rigidity of the cooling fan can be prevented from being transmitted to the unmanned aerial vehicle frame along with vibration of the engine. The overall vibration of the unmanned aerial vehicle is increased.
