A computer-implemented method for annotating sensor data recorded from the surroundings of a vehicle at a plurality of points in time, the method comprising:-determining an object in the sensor data; -determining an object area covered by the object at the current point in time and determining a future vehicle trajectory of the vehicle; and marking the object as relevant if it is determined that the area of the object interferes with the future vehicle trajectory.
