The invention belongs to the technical field of crane equipment, and particularly relates to a safe and efficient vertical shaft elevator which comprises a door frame, and a 3t trolley is slidably connected to the door frame. The output end of the 3t trolley is connected with a connecting mechanism, and the connecting mechanism is connected with a manned lifting cage; the connecting mechanism comprises a safety box connected with the manned lifting cage, and the front end and the rear end of the safety box are each provided with two fixed pulley blocks which are arranged in a staggered mode and matched with a steel wire rope of the 3t trolley; each fixed pulley block comprises a pair of fixed pulleys which are symmetrically arranged and rotationally connected with the safety box, and a safety device for synchronously fixing the vertical steel wire rope and the steel wire rope between the pair of fixed pulleys is arranged on the safety box; according to the invention, the problem that the operation risk of the existing man-carrying cage of the vertical shaft hoist in high-altitude and low-temperature-resistant regions is high is effectively solved, and the safe operation requirement of the lifting height of 400 meters in the high-altitude regions can be met.
