The valet parking method comprises the following steps: preprocessing an image acquired by the binocular camera, and judging whether an automobile is in a low-speed cruise stage or an automatic parking stage; when it is judged that the automobile is in the automatic parking stage, a YOLOv8 detection algorithm is called to conduct obstacle type recognition and parking space lineation recognition on the preprocessed picture; and when the parking space lineation is recognized, controlling the vehicle to park according to the type of the obstacle and the parking space lineation. When it is judged that the automobile is in the automatic parking stage, an image collected by the binocular camera is preprocessed, obstacle type and parking space lineation recognition is conducted by introducing YOLOv8, the obstacle and parking space lineation distance is calculated and obtained in real time through the binocular camera on the basis, and then obtained data is fused with data of other sensors; and on the basis, stable and efficient control of the vehicle is realized.
