The invention relates to a method for preventing sensitive triggering of an anti-lock braking system (ABS). The method comprises the steps that information related to the height of a vehicle suspension or the z-axis acceleration of wheels is received; detecting road disturbance based on the information related to the vehicle suspension height or the wheel z-axis acceleration; and upon detecting a road disturbance, determining a threshold offset for the anti-lock braking system (ABS), the threshold offset being provided to the anti-lock braking system (ABS) to adjust a trigger threshold of the anti-lock braking system (ABS). The invention further relates to equipment for preventing sensitive triggering of the ABS, a control method for the ABS, a computer program product and an electric control system.
