The invention relates to a wing sail structure (100) for a wind-assisted propulsion arrangement (10) of a marine vessel (1). The wing sail structure (100) comprises a wing sail frame (101) comprising a rigid or semi-rigid main wing sail (110) and a flap (120) having an airfoil shape, and at least one upper (130) and lower (140) coupling the main wing sail and the flap. The wing sail structure further comprises a base (20) arranged to be fixed to the body (3) of the vessel (1) and with respect to which the wing sail frame is rotatable. The flap (120) is rotatable about a second longitudinal axis of rotation such that the flap and its flap centerline (FCL) are in an inclined position relative to the main wing sail centerline (MCL). The second axis of rotation is arranged laterally offset from the main wing sail centerline (MCL). In this manner, only one axis of rotation is required for tilting the flap.
