High voltage contactor apparatus and methods are disclosed. In a particular embodiment, the contactor includes a high voltage input terminal; a high-voltage output terminal; and a switch having a first closed position, a second closed position and an open position, the switch establishing a first high-voltage current path between the high-voltage input terminal and the high-voltage output terminal in the first closed position, and establishing a second high-voltage current path between the high-voltage input terminal and the high-voltage output terminal in the second closed position.
