The invention relates to an exhaust valve and a brake system using the same. The vent valve includes a bore. An MC valve passage is in fluid communication with the bore. An exhaust fluid passage is in fluid communication with the bore at a location spaced from the MC valve passage. The SCA valve passage is in fluid communication with the bore at a location between the MC valve passage and the exhaust fluid passage. The exhaust valve shuttle moves between a first shuttle position and a second shuttle position at least partially responsive to fluid pressure. Displacement of the exhaust valve shuttle toward the second shuttle position urges air from the bore into the ambient space via the exhaust fluid passage.
