The invention relates to a scissor type unfolding mechanism which comprises a top short rod assembly, scissor type stage group rod piece units, a bottom supporting rod assembly, a driving unit assembly and an unfolding in-place indicating switch, the unfolding mechanism is connected with an unfolded object through the top short rod assembly, and the multiple stages of scissor type stage group rod piece units are connected through hinge shafts to form a multi-stage unfolding mechanism. The long rods of the multiple stages of unfolding mechanisms are connected in sequence; the bottom supporting rod assembly is connected with the driving unit assembly, the driving unit assembly drives the bottom supporting rod assembly to achieve unfolding and folding of the unfolding mechanism, after the unfolding mechanism is unfolded, a stable triangular structure is formed through the bottom supporting rod assembly, the scissor type stage group rod piece units and the limiting devices, the structural rigidity is improved, and the unfolding mechanism is controlled to be unfolded.
