The invention relates to the technical field of vehicle range extending control, and discloses a control method and device for a vehicle range extender, electronic equipment and a computer readable storage medium. If yes, the range extender is controlled to work at the preset initial rotating speed and the preset initial torque for power generation; the current target NVH standard of the vehicle is obtained, and the current NVH performance of the vehicle is obtained; wherein the target NVH standard is preset; and when it is detected that the current NVH performance does not meet the current target NVH standard, the range extender is controlled to adjust the preset initial rotating speed and/or the preset initial torque, so that the current NVH performance meets the current target NVH standard. Therefore, the rotating speed and/or the torque of the range extender are/is adjusted according to the relation between the current NVH performance and the current target NVH standard, the current NVH performance can meet the current target NVH standard, and then the NVH performance of power generation of the vehicle under the idling working condition is improved.
