The invention relates to the technical field of engineering machinery, and discloses a swing bridge and engineering machinery. The swing axle comprises an axle body, a hub speed reducing mechanism, a driving motor assembly and a swing mechanism. The two sets of hub speed reducing mechanisms are installed at the two axial ends of the axle body correspondingly. Each hub speed reducing mechanism comprises a hub speed reducer. The driving motor assembly is installed in the axle body, the driving motor assembly comprises two driving motors, the two driving motors are arranged close to the two axial ends of the axle body respectively, and driving shafts of the driving motors are in driving connection with the adjacent hub reducers; the swing mechanism is arranged on the axle body. On the basis of the prior art, a main speed reducer is omitted, the two driving motors are arranged at the two ends of the axle body respectively, meanwhile, in order to improve the rotating speed of the motors and reduce the weight and cost of the motors, the two hub speed reducing mechanisms are adopted, a larger speed reducing ratio and larger output torque are obtained, and the axle is suitable for low-speed, heavy-load, large-torque and other special occasions.
