The invention discloses a multi-branch power battery charging and discharging current adjusting method and device, a readable storage medium and a program product. The method comprises the steps that S1, whether the actual value of the current charging/discharging current of each branch meets the condition or not is judged; if yes, entering the next step; s2, reducing the current total request charging/discharging current; s3, judging whether the actual value of the current charging/discharging current of each branch after adjustment meets a condition or not; if yes, returning to the step S2, otherwise, entering the next step; s4, judging whether the maximum difference value of the actual charging/discharging current values of the branches meets a condition or not; if yes, increasing the current total request charging/discharging current, and returning to S3; otherwise, maintaining the current total requested charge/discharge current. According to the invention, the charging current can be dynamically adjusted in real time according to the current condition of each branch, and the technical problem that the service life of the battery is affected and safety risk is caused due to inconsistent current among the branches during charging and discharging of the existing battery system is solved.
