The invention provides a traffic signal period duration dynamic adjustment method based on trajectory data. The method comprises the following steps: step 1, determining a data source; step 2, data integration and standardization; 3, traffic flow characteristics are extracted; and 4, constructing a dynamic traffic model, and dynamically adjusting the period duration of the traffic signal. According to the method, the traffic flow efficiency can be improved, the traffic flow change can be more accurately predicted by utilizing real-time data analysis, and the signal period can be dynamically adjusted, so that the vehicle waiting time is shortened, and the overall road traffic capacity is improved. According to the method, big data analysis and an artificial intelligence algorithm are combined, automation and intelligence of traffic signal control are achieved, and dependence on manual intervention is reduced.
