A brake caliper (1) for a disc brake (2), the brake caliper (1) comprising: a caliper body (4) comprising two side walls (3) spaced apart from each other and delimiting, with respect to the two side walls (3), a disc space for accommodating a portion of a brake disc; a connection structure extending across the disc space and connecting the side walls (3) to each other; at least one pad accommodating part which is formed in each side wall of the side walls (3) and is suitable for accommodating at least one pad (5); a transmission receptacle (6) extending between a front wall of the transmission receptacle (6) and an opposite rear wall of the transmission receptacle (6) wherein the transmission receptacle (6) is connected to the caliper body (4) such that the front wall of the transmission receptacle (6) faces the disc space; thrust means adapted to bias the pad (5) against the brake disc along an actuation axis (12) transverse to the side wall (3), said thrust means being housed at least partially within the transmission housing (6); a control receptacle (7) connected to the transmission receptacle (6) at a rear wall of the transmission receptacle (6), where the control receptacle (7) supports and accommodates: an electric motor (8) comprising a drive shaft (11), where the electric motor (8) is configured to generate mechanical power and to transmit the mechanical power through the drive shaft (11) to a thrust device, where the thrust device is configured to drive the electric motor (8) to rotate; the electric motor (8) is at least partially accommodated inside a motor receptacle (9) formed by the control receptacle (7); a brake control unit configured to control the electric motor (8), the brake control unit being housed within a control chamber (10) defined by the control housing (7); wherein the electric motor (8) is electrically connected to a brake control unit, in which the drive shaft (11) extends in a direction parallel to the actuation axis (12) and protrudes from a front side of the electric motor (8) facing the caliper body (4), in which the brake control unit comprises at least one electronic board (13), and in which the drive shaft (11) extends in a direction parallel to the actuation axis (12) and protrudes from a rear side of the electric motor (8) facing the caliper body (4). The at least one electronic board (13) extends in a transverse direction with respect to the actuation axis (12).
