Provided is a rubber composition which has excellent product stability due to excellent dispersibility of silica, and which is capable of forming a crosslinked rubber product having excellent low fuel consumption characteristics and durability. This rubber composition contains a conjugated diene polymer, silica, a sulfide silane coupling agent, and a cross-linking agent, and the value of tc10, which is a vulcanization characteristic index measured in accordance with JIS K6300-2 using a vibratory vulcanization tester, satisfies formula (1). (1) 0.8 min < tc10 < 5.0 min.
