The invention relates to the field of rail transit, and discloses a visual grounding load switch device and system and a control method thereof. The connection state between a rear-end contact network and a front-end contact network and between the rear-end contact network and the ground in a rail transit traction power supply system is controlled by arranging a visual grounding load switch device of a disconnecting link combination circuit with an arc extinguishing function; therefore, even under the condition that the pantograph does not descend and is loaded, control over power failure and power transmission of the rear-end contact network can be achieved, and the phenomenon that an isolation knife switch is damaged by second arc discharge generated when the load is loaded is avoided through the knife switch combination circuit with the arc extinguishing function.
