The invention discloses a walking platform based on a steering handle, a lift truck and a control method of the lift truck. The walking platform comprises a chassis frame, multiple sets of walking assemblies and at least one universal wheel. The control device comprises a return assembly; a control handle body; a steering sensing assembly; the control module collects the steering angle and/or control signals of the first control assembly and/or the second control assembly, obtains driving parameters of all the walking assemblies according to a preset rule and independently drives all the walking assemblies so as to achieve straight movement or braking or rotation of the walking platform. According to the invention, the control interaction is realized by optimally setting the rear steering handle, the system accords with the living operation habits of most operators, and the learning and use cost is reduced while the risk caused by misoperation is reduced; on the basis, a sufficient design space is provided for multi-functionalization of the walking platform, and the walking platform has extremely high popularization value.
