The invention discloses a submarine landform side scan sonar measurement system and method. In the system, a side scan sonar acquisition system is installed on a working ship. The side-scan sonar towfish is placed in seawater. And the armored cable is connected with the side-scan sonar towfish and the side-scan sonar acquisition system. And the electric winch is arranged on the working ship and is used for winding the armored cable. The stern A frame is installed on the working ship and supports the armored cable. And the annular counterweight is connected to the armored cable and is arranged in seawater. The floating ball is connected with the side-scan sonar towfish and arranged on the surface of seawater. And the underwater positioning system is mounted on the working ship. The navigation positioning system is installed on the working ship. And the generator is mounted on the working ship and is connected with the side-scan sonar acquisition system, the underwater positioning system and the navigation positioning system. According to the system, the stability and reliability of data acquisition during fish dragging operation of the side-scan sonar can be improved, and the quality of data detected by the side-scan sonar can be improved.
