The invention relates to the technical field of air conditioning systems, and discloses an air conditioning system for a saturated diving residential cabin and a control method of the air conditioning system, air in the residential cabin enters an external circulation type air conditioning system and is sent back after being subjected to filtering treatment, fan pressurization, condensation dehumidification and heating temperature adjustment, and the air in the residential cabin is adjusted; the air conditioning system further comprises a cold water unit and a hot water unit. The cold water unit and the hot water unit are controlled to obtain the refrigerant water and the heating medium water meeting the temperature condition, and through switching operation of the refrigerant water and the heating medium water, the cooling and heating load requirements of the residential cabin under all working conditions are met.
