The invention belongs to the technical field of machine manufacturing, and particularly relates to a rotating stand machining method and a rotating stand, the rotating stand comprises a base, connecting arms and a support platform, the four ends of the base are provided with mounting holes respectively, the two adjacent ends are provided with arc-shaped grooves, the four ends are connected to the support platform through the connecting arms, the support platform is located in the middle of the upper portion of the base, and the arc-shaped grooves are formed in the arc-shaped grooves. The support platform is provided with two convex lugs, an open gear groove is formed between the two convex lugs, the two convex lugs are provided with concentric central datum holes, and the rotating stand machining method comprises the steps that a rotating stand is positioned and fixed on a numerical control boring machine; four mounting holes and two central datum holes are machined at a time through a numerical control boring machine; a tool clamp is used for clamping and fixing the rotating frame through the four mounting holes; cutting off the allowance reserved on the convex lug part between the central reference holes; the tool clamp is used for changing the clamping direction, and two arc-shaped grooves are machined. According to the method, the scribing and boring process is split, opening is conducted through a numerical control milling machine and linear cutting, and the workload of a boring machine is reduced compared with traditional machining.
