The invention relates to a cross-shaped tension leg type single-stand-column floating type wind power platform and an installation method, the cross-shaped tension leg type single-stand-column floating type wind power platform comprises a vertically-arranged integrated tower barrel body, the tower barrel body is divided into an upper tower barrel and a lower tower barrel, the upper tower barrel is made of stand columns and is of a thin and long cylinder structure, and the lower tower barrel is of a circular truncated cone type structure; a fan is mounted on the top surface of the upper tower drum, three blades are arranged on the fan, a cross-shaped buoy is mounted below the upper tower drum, the cross-shaped buoy is positioned below the water plane, four tension rib key systems are vertically moored on the bottom surface of the cross-shaped buoy, and the bottom of each tension rib key system is fixed on the seabed. The whole platform is simple in structure, low in cost, excellent in hydrodynamic performance and safe and stable in structure, and a novel platform design scheme is provided for offshore floating type wind power generation engineering.
