The method comprises the steps that an activity area of a hoisting point on a bucket rod is established, a plurality of datum points are divided in the activity area, and the threshold pressure corresponding to each datum point is recorded; the threshold pressure is the load pressure of the movable arm large cavity when the hoisting point hoists a heavy object with the maximum weight on the premise that the excavator does not tip over, the real-time position coordinates of the hoisting point are obtained, and the load pressure of the movable arm large cavity when the hoisting point hoists the heavy object is obtained; the load pressure is compared with the threshold pressure corresponding to the closest reference point in the activity area, power interference is selectively intervened according to the comparison result, and an alarm is selectively given; the excavator applies the anti-tipping method in the hoisting state of the excavator. The method can effectively avoid tipping in the heavy object hoisting process of the excavator, and is safe, reliable, visual and accurate.
