The invention relates to a glass composition, a preparation method thereof and automobile glass. The glass composition comprises the following components in percentage by mass: 58%-68% of silicon oxide, 9%-15% of aluminum oxide, 15.2%-20% of alkali metal oxide, 2.2%-5.5% of alkaline earth metal oxide, 0.2%-1% of boron oxide, 0.2%-1.6% of zirconium oxide and 0.22%-0.66% of a coloring agent, the color agent comprises cobalt oxide, iron oxide, titanium oxide and cerium oxide; the mass fractions of cobalt oxide, iron oxide, titanium oxide and cerium oxide in the glass composition are a, b, c and d respectively, and (a + b)/(c + d) is more than or equal to 0.03 and less than or equal to 0.13. The formula provided by the invention can ensure that the glass composition has excellent ultraviolet resistance, and is neutral in color, high in visible light transmittance and good in brightness.
