The invention provides a shaft connecting device capable of connecting in a state of ensuring inertia force even if the length of one of two shafts to be connected is less than half of the axial length of the whole shaft connecting device. A shaft connection device (1) connects a rotatable rotating shaft (103b) and a rotatable drive shaft (104a) that faces the rotating shaft (103b) in the axial direction. The shaft connection device (1) comprises: a first member (2) fixed to a rotating shaft (103b); and a second member (3) fixed to the rotating shaft (103b) and the drive shaft (104a) and connected to the first member (2). The axial length of the rotating shaft (103b) is different from the axial length of the drive shaft (104a).
