The invention provides an updating method based on a vehicle-mounted operating system. The updating method comprises the steps that the vehicle-mounted operating system is started; the starting script of the vehicle-mounted operating system reads an update flag bit, and the update flag bit is stored in a microprocessor or an external memory independent of the vehicle-mounted operating system; and determining whether the vehicle-mounted operating system enters a common mode or an updating mode based on the updating flag bit. In addition, the invention further provides computing equipment, an intelligent cabin device, a vehicle, a computer readable storage medium and a computer program product. By means of the technical scheme disclosed by the invention, the content needing to be updated can be updated in the updating mode of the vehicle-mounted operating system, so that the additional development work of a boot loader is omitted, and the advantages of the vehicle-mounted operating system can be benefited.
