The invention discloses a multi-mode operation method based on a novel space composite thruster. The multi-mode operation method comprises the steps that 1, a propelling mode is selected; step 2, stretching the cathode column; step 3, heating the catalytic bed; 4, the propellant flow is adjusted; 5, propellant flow is detected; step 6, injecting a propellant; step 7, chemical propulsion; and step 8, electric propulsion. The nozzle throat is designed in a large area according to a chemical propulsion mode, the synapses are additionally arranged at the tail end of the cathode column, the cathode column is controlled to stretch out and draw back, and when the chemical propulsion mode is needed, the cathode column shrinks; when an electric propulsion mode is needed, the cathode column extends, and the synapse wirelessly approaches the throat part of the nozzle, so that stable arcing discharge is realized. The length of the throat part of the spray pipe is prolonged, the width is controlled, and the electric arc can be stabilized on the premise of avoiding ablation; in addition, airflow has tangential initial velocity in the combustion chamber and can form vortex, so that cool air on the periphery of the arc is carried to converge towards the center of the arc, and the arc is stable.

    本发明公开了一种基于新型空间复合推力器的多模式运转方法,包括步骤1、选择推进模式;步骤2、阴极柱伸缩;步骤3、加热催化床;步骤4、调节推进剂流量;步骤5、检测推进剂流量;步骤6、推进剂喷注;步骤7、化学推进;步骤8、电推进。本发明将喷管喉部按照化学推进模式的大面积设计,通过在阴极柱末端增设突触,并控制阴极柱伸缩,当需要化学推进模式时,阴极柱收缩;当需要电推进模式时,阴极柱伸长,突触无线接近喷管喉部,从而实现稳定起弧放电。本发明通过延长喷管喉部长度、控制宽度,能在避免其烧蚀前提下,稳定电弧;另外,气流在燃烧室内具有切向初速,能形成涡流,从而携带电弧外围较冷气流向电弧中心汇聚,实现电弧稳定。
