According to the passive self-unfolding deorbit sail mechanism with the delayed triggering function and the control method of the passive self-unfolding deorbit sail mechanism, passive timed unlocking can be achieved, the unfolding speed of the sail membrane can be reduced, and the positions and postures of the unfolding mechanism and the sail membrane after unlocking can be controlled; the technical defects of single power supply unlocking, large sail membrane unfolding impact, uncontrollable unfolding process and the like in the existing auxiliary sail deorbit technology are overcome, and the deorbit success rate of the space operation device is improved.
