According to the method, a wave concentrator is installed on a cradle head of an unmanned aerial vehicle, and a monitoring assembly is fixedly installed in front of the center of the wave concentrator to serve as unmanned aerial vehicle partial discharge inspection equipment; the monitoring assembly comprises an ultrasonic sensor, a distance sensor, a visual camera and the like; unmanned aerial vehicle partial discharge inspection equipment is adopted for inspection; if the ultrasonic signal is collected, the ultrasonic signal and data such as the corresponding distance are transmitted back to the unmanned aerial vehicle handheld control terminal; the attenuation information of the ultrasonic signal is inverted based on data such as distance, so that the partial discharge position is obtained; after the visual camera is calibrated, the image of the insulator at the partial discharge position is collected, and the light spots are superposed, so that a user can know the specific partial discharge position and discharge intensity through the image. The method has relatively high monitoring precision, can realize determination of a specific discharge loop on the tower, and is easy to popularize and apply.
