The invention discloses a torque compensation method and device. The method comprises the steps of obtaining a turning angle signal, a rotating speed signal, a torque signal and a friction signal of a steering wheel in a target time period; the direction of the compensation torque of the steering wheel is determined according to the rotation angle signal, the rotation speed signal and the torque signal, and the magnitude of the compensation torque is determined according to the rotation angle signal, the torque signal and the friction signal; and performing torque compensation on the steering wheel according to the direction of the compensation torque based on the magnitude of the compensation torque. By the adoption of the method and device, a driver can be helped to conduct effective steering braking in different environments, the effectiveness and stability of driving steering can be guaranteed through self-adaptive compensation torque learning, and the driving experience of the driver is improved.
