The invention discloses an external force crane which comprises a gantry (1), a trolley (2), a lifting part (3), a walking part (4) and a tension part (5), a bracket (5-1) is welded on the gantry (1), a drag hook (5-4) is welded on the gantry (1), a hook (5-7) is bundled at one end of a pull rope (5-3), the hook (5-7) is hooked on the drag hook (5-4), the other end of the pull rope (5-2) is bundled on a heavy object frame (5-5), and a counterweight (5-6) is placed in the heavy object frame (5-5). Due to the fact that the pulling rope (5-3) is subjected to the pulling force effect of the counter weight (5-6), the pulling hook (5-4) is subjected to oblique pulling force, part of component force of the pulling force is upward, and the portal frame (1) is subjected to upward pulling force. And the pulling force can resist against a part of the weight of an object hooked by the lifting part (3), so that the object which can be lifted by the crane is heavier than the original object.
