The electronic safety tongs comprise a base plate, clamping mechanisms and a controller, the front side of the base plate is provided with a rail body channel allowing a guide rail to penetrate through, the clamping mechanisms are installed on the left side and the right side of the rail body channel correspondingly, and each clamping mechanism comprises a machine shell, a first motor, a movable wheel, a clamping block, a transmission assembly and a second motor; the movable wheel can be driven by a second motor to rotate, the first motor can switch the positions of the movable wheel and the clamp block at the same time through a transmission assembly so that one of the movable wheel and the clamp block can be horizontally close to the guide rail and the other clamp block can be horizontally away from the guide rail, and the controller is electrically connected with the two clamping mechanisms. According to the invention, the lift car can descend to a designated position at a relatively slow speed and then stop descending immediately, so that not only are subsequent rescue and maintenance facilitated, but also people in the lift car can be effectively prevented from being collided and injured due to rapid descending and rapid stopping, and the taking safety of an elevator is improved.
