The rearview mirror display screen blind area alarm method comprises the steps that an outside-vehicle blind area image generated by an automobile monitoring device is received and pre-processed, the processed outside-vehicle blind area image is input into a pedestrian detection model, the pedestrian detection model conducts reasoning and judgment on the outside-vehicle blind area image, an image drawn with a pedestrian marking frame is output, and the pedestrian marking frame is displayed on a display screen of a rearview mirror. The rearview mirror display screen displays the image drawn with the pedestrian marking frame to a driver; the step of training the pedestrian detection model comprises the following steps: acquiring an image set containing annotation data around an automobile safety distance and the automobile safety distance; generating an initial annotation box based on the annotation data; and inputting the picture with the initial annotation box into the YOLO network for training until the YOLO network converges. By means of the method, a driver can efficiently and conveniently judge the distance between pedestrians outside the vehicle through the rearview mirror display screen, and the driving safety and comfort are improved.
