The present invention is a refrigeration cycle unit for a vehicle, which is interposed between an exterior heat exchanger and an interior heat exchanger and exchanges heat between secondary refrigerants flowing through the exterior heat exchanger and the interior heat exchanger, and which is provided with: a refrigeration cycle that is provided in an equipment accommodation space on the inside of the vehicle and that exchanges heat between the secondary refrigerants flowing through the exterior heat exchanger and the interior heat exchanger; the compressor, the condenser, the expansion valve and the evaporator are used for allowing flammable primary refrigerants with the specific gravity larger than that of air to flow in sequence; and a leakage sensor which is positioned below the compressor, the condenser, and the evaporator, and which is capable of sensing the concentration of the primary refrigerant contained in the atmosphere in the device housing space.
