A method for connecting a high-voltage battery (2) to a high-voltage grid (3) using at least one relay (5) in a powertrain of an electric or hybrid vehicle, the method comprising: pre-charging the high-voltage grid (3) according to a preset pre-charging setpoint; the connection between the high-voltage battery (2) and the high-voltage network (3) is realized by closing the relay; measuring the difference between the voltage of the high-voltage battery (2) and the voltage of the high-voltage network (3) when the high-voltage battery (2) and the high-voltage network (3) are connected and the current of the high-voltage battery (2) is zero; and establishing a corrected pre-charge setpoint for a subsequent connection as a function of the measured difference between the high-voltage battery (2) and the high-voltage network (3).
