The present disclosure relates to balancing the temperature of battery management system circuits, in which a circuit arrangement is used to measure individual battery cells of a battery pack and to make a correction to account for environmental differences between the battery cells and their associated measurement circuits. A number of cell supervision circuits (CSCs) may be placed to monitor and manage one or more subsets of battery cells within a battery pack. The temperature distribution of the battery pack is non-uniform, which may cause a temperature gradient and affect an internal regulation circuit that generates a reference voltage for determining the voltage of one or more cells that it supervises and regulates the power to the CSC component. The reference voltage is related to temperature, and thus the temperature of the CSC is mismatched. Based on the measurement circuitry, the external regulation terminals control the transfer devices to share power between the transfer devices and the internal regulation circuitry to manage the temperature of each CSC.
