A range extending system of a negative buoyancy heavy cable-controlled submersible vehicle comprises a gas storage system and a winch which are installed on the heavy cable-controlled submersible vehicle, the gas storage system comprises a gas storage tank, a piston is installed in the gas storage tank, gas pipes are arranged at the two ends of the gas storage tank respectively, a first electric valve is installed on the gas pipe at one end, and a second electric valve is installed on the gas pipe at the other end. The air pipe provided with the first electric valve is connected with the air bag through a connecting pipe, the negative buoyancy umbilical cable penetrates through the interior of the air bag, the limiting stopper is installed on the negative buoyancy umbilical cable at the top of the air bag, the limiting stopper is of a hollow structure, penetrates through the negative buoyancy umbilical cable and can slide along the negative buoyancy umbilical cable, and meanwhile the limiting stopper is connected with the air bag. And a steel wire rope on the winch is connected to the limiter. When the cable-controlled submersible vehicle works in the deep sea, the maneuvering radius and maneuvering performance of the cable-controlled submersible vehicle are increased to a large extent by counteracting the negative buoyancy on the umbilical cable of the cable-controlled submersible vehicle, so that the working efficiency of the cable-controlled submersible vehicle is improved.
