A vertical rod is hinged to the upper end of a pond digging device in the pond digging part, the upper end of the vertical rod is hinged to a first pond digging device supporting arm, the other end of the first pond digging device supporting arm is connected to a transmission box plate through a shaft, a second pond digging device supporting arm is further connected to the middle of the first pond digging device supporting arm through a shaft, and the other end of the second pond digging device supporting arm is connected to a third pond digging device supporting arm through a shaft. The other end of the third pond digging device supporting arm is connected to a power output shaft in the transmission box. A transverse rod is further connected to the pond digging device, a rotating shaft at the end of the transverse rod is connected to a first supporting rod, and the first supporting rod is connected to the rack. Meanwhile, the invention further provides a working method of the transplanting machine.
