The invention relates to a rear axle steering system with active steering and aligning functions, which comprises a rear axle assembly and a rear axle assembly, wherein the rear axle assembly comprises an I-shaped beam, and the I-shaped beam is provided with a concave bent section; the steering engine support is arranged above the rear axle assembly in parallel, and a groove is formed in the bottom of the steering engine support. When the steering engine support is installed on the rear axle assembly, the groove and the concave bent section form a plumbing arm arrangement swing space. The steering engine assembly comprises a driving device and a steering plumbing arm device which are arranged on a steering engine support. The steering plumbing arm device is located in the plumbing arm arrangement swing space and connected with a steering engine pull rod. Therefore, during use, the driving device of the steering engine assembly drives the steering knuckle connected with the steering engine pull rod so as to realize steering and aligning functions; the thinking mode that the steering engine is fixed to the vehicle frame is completely separated, the steering engine is fixed to the vehicle axle, connection of the steering engine and the vehicle axle is not affected by deformation of the suspension, steering is easy to control, and the relative steering angle is accurate; the change on the axle is small, and the manufacturing cost is reduced.
