The method is applied to a control host in a projection system, and comprises the following steps: determining a corresponding visual field unoccupied position on a windshield projection screen based on a road condition image acquired by an image sensor; projection information is received, the road condition complexity of the current road condition is determined based on the road condition image, and when the road condition complexity is not larger than a preset road condition complexity threshold value, whether the to-be-projected position on the windshield projection screen is within the visual field unoccupied position range or not is judged; when the to-be-projected position is not in the field-of-view free position range, adjusting the to-be-projected position of the projection information to the field-of-view free position according to a preset adjustment mode; and when the to-be-projected position is in the free-view position, projecting to a windshield projection screen according to the to-be-projected position. According to the projection method based on the windshield, intelligent projection experience is achieved, and driving safety is guaranteed.
