The walking mechanism comprises a walking assembly, the walking assembly comprises a left walking part and a right walking part which are arranged in parallel, the left walking part is provided with a first input shaft, the right walking part is provided with a second input shaft, and the first input shaft and the second input shaft are oppositely arranged; the power assembly is connected with the walking assembly and comprises a first power assembly connected with the first input shaft and a second power assembly connected with the second input shaft; the on-off piece is arranged between the left walking part and the right walking part and connected with the first power assembly and the second power assembly. When the on-off piece is in a joint state, the left walking part and the right walking part have the same speed, so that linear walking is realized; when the on-off piece is in the disconnected state, the left walking part and the right walking part are different in speed to achieve steering walking, so that the control difficulty of linear walking of the tunneling equipment is effectively reduced, and the tunneling work efficiency is effectively improved.
