The invention provides a vehicle mode switching control method which is applied to a hybrid power vehicle, the vehicle comprises a hybrid power transmission, the hybrid power transmission comprises a first input shaft and a second input shaft, the first input shaft is connected with a first clutch, the second input shaft is connected with a second clutch, and the second clutch is connected with a second clutch. The method comprises the steps that when it is determined that the current driving mode of a vehicle is a direct-drive four-wheel-drive mode and the current gear is the first gear, whether the vehicle meets the preset condition of switching from the direct-drive four-wheel-drive mode to an idle-speed pure-electric four-wheel-drive mode or not is judged; and when it is determined that the vehicle meets the preset condition, the first clutch is controlled to be in an open state, and the second clutch is controlled to be in an open state, so that the vehicle is switched from a direct-drive four-wheel-drive mode to an idle-speed pure-electric four-wheel-drive mode. According to the method, four-wheel-drive driving of the vehicle can be guaranteed, the driving requirement of a user is met, and the vehicle using experience of the user is improved.
