The present solution provides a digital first transponder open loop. The solution may include a system that includes a control unit that executes instructions and is configured to generate a signal that passes through a wire harness of an electric vehicle. The signal may indicate a state of an open loop of the electric vehicle. The control unit may be electrically connected to a constraint control module and a battery pack associated with the electric vehicle. The controller may be configured to detect an event associated with the vehicle or a change in the signal above a threshold level. The controller may be configured to cause electrical disconnection of the constraint control module of the electric vehicle or the battery pack of the electric vehicle in response to detecting one of the event or a change in the signal.
